Murtfeldt's tailor-made plastic turners, screws and format sets

guarantee a smooth lifetime of packaging machines

Murtfeldt Kunststoffe will be exhibiting at the Düsseldorf packaging fair Interpack 2014 from 8 to 14 May 2014 in Hall 11, Stand E54. Regardless of whether you're interested in the design of new machines or the provision of spare parts – Murtfeldt will be on hand to provide you with comprehensive advice. Murtfeldt products are used wherever goods need to be packed, filled and transported. The traditional Dortmund-based company manufactures wear-resistant slide profiles, chain and belt guides, chain tensioners and individual machine parts, used in all industries, as well as tailor-made product turners and screws in a range of different dimensions for manufacturers of packaging machines and complete format sets for filling plants in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. All solutions are perfectly suited for use in machines that manufacture and transport at high speed.

Packaging machinery manufacturers and operators are constantly faced with exacting demands. Some are constantly searching for technical innovations to define the market with their machines, others have to maintain their systems to the latest standards at all times to successfully meet high global demand. One thing drives them all on: the desire for improved processing speeds, higher plant capacities and the more profitable integration of technological innovations.

Murtfeldt Kunststoffe will support you in this endeavour with the individual processing of plastics. The aim here is reduced cleaning and repair times, whilst maintaining constant product quality and reliability. This goal is fully achievable if the concept of "hygienic design" is employed, that is if hygiene requirements are taken into account when planning and constructing production plants. Murtfeldt Kunststoffe has committed to this aim in the selection and manufacture of its materials.

All Murtfeldt plastics have outstanding sliding ability, which significantly reduces the energy needed for the required drive power, as well as excellent abrasion resistance and exceptional chemical resistance. These plastic properties guarantee a long service life for machines and plants. This - in conjunction with excellent energy efficiency combined with long maintenance/servicing intervals - enables companies to grow sustainably.

For instance, Murtfeldt manufactures a wide range of product turners from these plastics, which are tailored to the customer's specific individual requirements. Whether turners for cans, bottles or glasses, cartons or boxes: there are no limits to our development and manufacturing expertise.

There are so many good reasons to choose Murtfeldt product turners. Thanks to the excellent slide properties of the processed plastics, they work with very little dynamic pressure. The advance of products is extremely quiet due to the transition-free guide shape, with the multi-part construction of the product turners facilitating simple dismantling for cleaning purposes. Irrespective of the sector, Murtfeldt manufactures product turners with any turning angle, which can be used in virtually any production and processing stage.

The same exacting quality requirements relate to the manufacture of format sets consisting of conveying screws, conveyor stars and sliding return channel components. Conveyor screws are coordinated precisely to the respective shape and proportion of the product. The conveyor stars can be made in a single piece, from two parts, or - in the case of really large plants - in segments. Sliding return channel components are produced in an appropriate, project-specific shape and size, along with replacement slide rails if required. Whether for a single part or a series run, Murtfeldt offers the very best solution for every application.

In the food industry, in beverage filling and all other sectors in which hygiene plays a key role, it is also imperative to meet a further key requirement: namely compliance with legal requirements for the food industry. Murtfeldt plastics, which are used in the food sector, carry an [FS] for "Food Safe" in their product names. These plastics are certified in accordance with the recently updated EC Regulation 1935/2004, which is now considerably stricter than the FDA approval scheme in the US and governs the use of plastics that come into contact with foods.
