This material at a glance

Material characteristics

High wear resistance Extremely resistant to chemicals Good anti-adhesion properties Elektrisch leitfähig For use in explosion hazard areas

Available colors

White

Original Material “S“ plus+® white ESD refutes the longstanding incompatibility of white
materials in connection with conductivity. The white plastic is ideally suited for use in clean
room technology and in laboratory environments. For example, if it is used as a work
surface, ESD-sensitive products (ESDs) can be processed without any problems. The modified
UHMW-PE also meets the electrical engineering requirements, which require a slow
discharge speed for sensitive electronic components.

Medical engineering in turn benefits from the fact that no black abrasion occurs as with
standard materials and static charging is avoided at the same time when using Original
Material “S“ plus+® white ESD. This argument is also a big plus for the food industry, which is
also subject to strict hygiene requirements. Original Material
"S" plus+® white ESD can be used without limitation in the food processing industry.

Special characteristics

  • Very good conductivity (surface resistance between the lower limit of 10⁶ Ω and upper limit of 10⁹ Ω)
  • For devices and machines that are subject to Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 95)
  • Approved for ESD protection zones in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) (standards IEC 61340-5-1 and DIN EN 61340-5-1)
  • Certified as food-compliant in accordance with the European Union (EU) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

Capabilities

Original Material "S" plus+® white ESD, white
  • ESD-sensitive working environments with strict hygiene standards

Working environments with high dust levels and strict hygiene requirements at the
    same time (e.g. food processing)

Clean room technology, laboratory environments, electrical engineering, medical
    engineering and food technology
